Okay Ya'll, this is the second to last hair product review related blog post of 2017 and probably ever. As I mentioned, I'm transitioning into a new season of my plight and I will beging to focus more on my boxes and giving you tips for healthy hair, lifestyle blogs, and tips to existing businesses and those seeking to start businesses. Trust me, it'll still be fun -- and I'll still be giving you new heat in the Crown Kit and other boxes. Dont fret!
I am super duper happy that Curls Dynasty has made its way into my life. It has been a longggg time coming that I've been eying this brand on instagram for a long time but I cant lie, I was a little bit skeptical. This brand ultimately won me over when it rebranded and began to spread its wings a little further. I was soooo happy when they reached out with me to review their products because yo!! they are amazing!!
The Products
I was sent the Cocoa Mint Moisture Rich Shampoo, the Give me Slip Max hydration conditioner, the Kala Hari Moisturizing Leave in conditioner, the Organic Oil Blend, and the Twist Definition twisting cream. You'll notice there's a few extras in this photo, I'll talk about that in a few.
The Curls Dynasty collection focuses on providing moisture to all kinks and curls. It works on the KINKIEST and the curliest. Trust me, I have witnessed the shampoo plow through 4C hair with a breeze and make it super easy to detangle. These products are no joke.
Theyre so awesome, that after trying these products one time, I had to take the dive and order two more Give Me slip conditioners and an icing on a curl. If i didnt have so many shampoos already in my stash, I wouldve bought more of that as well. This was my LAST hair product purchase till 2019 so you know it was a big deal. These past few months I've been focused on keeping and purchasing products that I know I will reach for again and again and Curls Dynasty is one of those brands.
I wont go one for too much longer so I'll just talk about my FAVORITE, hands down, refuse to live without products from this line
The Cocoa Mint Moisture Rich Shampoo
Let me tell you something... this shampoo right here?? I cant even explain my love for it. Anytime I see an applicator tip I get excited because I know my scalp is in for a treat. The texture of this shampoo is actually much creamier (rather than watery) than I expected. It is SUPER duper moisturizing and makes it super easy to detangle ALL hair types it comes into contact with (stares at the 4Cest 4C queen -- yes, yours too!)
The Mint give youe scalp an invigorating feeling -- like a breathe of fresh air. It leaves your hair soft, shiny, and super defined. I almost felt as though I couldve been done with wash day at that point. A little goes a really long way
Honestly, this product is a must buy if youre looking for a shampoo that delivers. Beware -- you might get addicted and I highly reccomend you purchase at least 2 bottles for the first time lol. First time buyers get coins off by subcribing to their email list!

Give Me Slip Blast Hydration Conditioner
I was only sent one bottle of this product, here in this photo you see 3. That should explain my love for it. This conditioner is AMAZING. It is hands down the best rinse out conditioner that I have tried to date! I only wish that it came in a 12 or 16oz bottle.
This conditioner smells decadent and detangles in a breeze. I noticed a significant reduction of shedding with this product and the bounce and softness of my curls was just ... beautiful. I had one of those " I absolutely love my hair" moments and I never want that feeling to go away.
Soon as I was done, I ran to my laptop and purchased two more bottles to get me through my no buy 2018!
Pumpkin Mint Deep Treatment
Last but certainly not least, the Pumpkin Mint Deep treatment is the bae of all baes! It is thick, rich, creamy and extremely moisturizing! I thought that since it is so thick that it wouldn't penetrate my hair shaft completely, but it sure did.
It added to the slip that I already had from the Give Me Slip conditioner and smells absolutely amazing. I left my hair in a shower cap for about 45 minutes before rinsing it out with lukewarm water. My curls were super shiny, super defined, and smelled like the garden of Eden. I was tempted to leave my hair in a wash and literal go!
This is another MUST BUY. I only didnt buy another because I have so many deep conditioners to get through and I gotta be an adult lol.
Anyways -- the fact that I meantioned just three products from the collection does not mean I dont absolutely love the rest of the products. It just means I want to keep this blog succinct and effective. My only suggestion to Curls Dynasty would be to introduce a refresher or a lighter weight leave in for curlies like myself. The twisted Defintion provides so much softness and moisture for days -- i can definitely see myself reaching for it again and again even though I prefer not to use twisting creams. Overall, this brand scores a 10/10 and earns itself as one of the best brands I have tried in 2017. Stay tuned for my top 25 brands of 2017 blog to release New Years day! I've tried about 60+ brands in the last 6 months and I will let you know now -- Curls Dynasty is on the list of the Top.
